CWC Scientist featured on Tri-Parish Times

This article from the Tri-Parish Times focuses on one of our CWC scientists Dr. Linda Hooper-Bui’s research. One of her focuses is  on the effect of oil on insects and longevity of this effect. Her research found that caged native crickets in areas that were oiled were dying as compared to crickets caged in non oiled sites.  Since insects are sensitive to toxic substances this could possibly indicate that while the oil seems to be mostly gone visibly the toxic effects can still be felt in the ecosystem.
